This is a good quick read/listen and I enjoyed it - if I were to pick at the book, youThere are numerous business lessons scattered throughout the book and a nice summary of Iger’s lessons in “lessons to life by” towards the end. Many of the films made by Disney have made a deep impact in my life. One of the most important qualities of a good leader is optimism, a pragmatic enthusiasm for what can be achieved.

Good Economics for Hard Times There are a multiple number of factors that made this kindlebook purchase very much worth it for me (disclosure: I am fortunate to have pre-ordered this kindlebook with money made from my current job around August 19, 2019). Even so, Perlmutter’s people tried to thwart Disney’s efforts to make Then there’s George Lucas, who had seller’s remorse after Iger persuaded him to part with his company in 2012 Every major player in Hollywood makes an appearance in It’s hard to blame Iger if he sounds a little weary in the final section of the book. Bob Iger, the current CEO & Executive Chairman of Disney, has reflected back on his life and provided a portrait of his learnings as honestly as he can in this book. Start by marking “The Ride of a Lifetime: Lessons Learned from 15 Years as CEO of the Walt Disney Company” as Want to Read: Still, after being exposed to multiple insightful details in this book I realize that one of the multiple reasons I was inspired to look at this kindlebook is for me to help the ambitious side of my spirit /soul understand at least some ideas on what it means to take bolder andor strategically andor wisely calculated career risks/moves. It is completely politically correct, often clichéd. Overall, this was a well written and entertaining book for vacation.

Many folks are shocked at the overabundance of whipped cream topping my pies. I was also amazed by his high level of empathy as a leader and how he has dealt with numerous difficult situations over the years. Iger’s passion and intensity can be felt throughout the book and this guy is a real go-getter (he gets up at 4:30am each day to workout!). But like most people I see the New Year as a chance to start over and correct some of these deficiencies. I felt he could have tread a little more kindly, and though it was entertaining, it felt a little like a "tell-all" at points that wasn't necessary.
