I love that she laughs to herself as she is reading, and that she will often share "the funny part". He must have another of Maryrose’s memories. We finally got to see why Maryrose sent Abby and Jonah through the magic mirror into The Frog Prince leaving us with a major cliffhanger, too! I love that it is reading at her level and that she can understand it. This is my second favorite of the series, and I especially love this one because of the twist where the frog turned out to be an evil prince. Tolerably twee.

In this installment, Abby and Jonah end up in the Princess and the Frog tale. Right? I have read every single book in this series! So one night, they sneak into the basement, knock on the mirror and find themselves once again sucked into fairy tale land. One thing that I appreciated was that Mlynowski references familiar versions of the fairy tale to make this story approachable to modern readers, especially since this tale is less widely known than the fairy tales visited earlier in the series. So glad I bought it for my classroom (and yes, I'll get back to reading more adult books shortly- as soon as I start catching up some more to my reading goal for the year! This series is terrifically popular at the elementary school. He also tries to take Abby and lock her up in the dungeon! It is so unfair that they save someone who is so unfragile and sensitive. This book seemed to take awhile to get into and then ended somewhat abruptly, but as usual, I loved all the plot twists, and I love how the stories all seem to turn out for the better. Great book and can't wait to read more in the series.
