As the ADC points out, the portrayal of the Arab is dominated by A young couple with a newborn baby don't realize that the nanny they hired is a magical nymph who sacrifices infants to an evil tree. In a desperate attempt to prove his innocence, a skilled police negotiator accused of corruption and murder takes hostages in a government office to gain the time he needs to find the truth. But Childers is adamant because he wants an attorney who has served in combat. Marshal Samuel Gerard and his team of Marshals are assigned to track down Sheridan, who has been accused of a double-murder. They offer to help but are shot by the SG team members. Childers himself eventually takes the stand and engages in a fierce verbal battle with Biggs. The film is anti-terrorist. This basic story in this film was based on an original script by Jim Webb, a former Marine officer and a Navy Cross recipient who once served as Secretary of the Navy.
In the end, Childers is found guilty of the minor charge of breach of the peace (having disobeyed his order to just show his Marines), but not guilty of the more serious charges of conduct unbecoming an officer and murder, and that he is Notes at film's end about the fate of the characters suggest this film is based on a true story, but the story is fictional.
