I use a silverface twin, and then run an electro harmonix tremolo pedal in unison. I'm really interested in playing it live, but it's really not complete without the slide. You could try it up the octave, it'd be a little less dissonant with the tremolo chords, though it is supposed to be quite dissonant.In terms of getting to sound exactly like the recording, that's impossible live, because there's a reverse reverb effect on them. [INTRO] The actual guitar sound is created using the tremolo unit on a Fender Twin Reverb A tremolo pedal will also help you get the right sound. ;D The song is the 'B' side of the twelve-inch 'William, It Was Really Nothing' and it's called 'How Soon Is Now?' I've checked the wiki and YouTube but it's been a no-go. If you really want to get the right tremolo sound, though, you need (at least one) twin reverb. Does anyone know how in God's name Johnny Marr did the slide bit in HSIN, and how to replicate it live?
