In the Sega 32X and Game Boy Advance ports, the status bar face does not bleed at all when the player's health status worsens, although the rest of the effects of damage (progressively messier hair, closed eyes when dead, and so on) are there. This level is packed with new graphics, and is designed to REALLY look like a city. A mistake in the game's coding makes it visible only if you gain 20 or more health while taking damage, rendering the face unseen outside of uncommon situations, like getting hurt while standing on a medikit. Previous thread: Word of caution: DO NOT use this status bar with maps such as the Community Chests or any map, addon, mod etc that changes graphics mostly for the HUD because there will be issues with it (do that at your own risk) and if you change the video settings in ZDoom (for example 1980x1080 to 640 x 480) there will be a black bar that flickers on top of the mugshot, just load from a save or if starting a new game just hit new game again and the problem will be gone. The ones from Valiant and Ancient Aliens are really nice. Demonstration pack contains 31 frames of Doomguy face (without STFL-STFR, they still in progress) and new status bar … The demons came and the marines died. from the classic status bars posted by galileo, i prefer those that are easiest to read, like btsx or threnody, for clear, big numbers with contrasting background. the alternate prboom status bar is the opposite to this, at least to me, as it has lots of small numbers i struggle to read during the action. At the lower left corner, there are 3 lines of small type which show a time counter, kills/possible kills and something else.
You mean it's not normal to count all the ammo you pick, shots you make and damage you take in your head? Playing without any HUD whatsoever is an experiment endorsed by Running eduke32 under Vista 64, full-screen, 1920x1200.

The names of the face graphics use the root STF (status face), plus some text specifying one of several conditions currently being experienced by the player, followed by a digit from 0 to 4 denoting the approximate current health, and possibly an extra digit from 0 to 2 for an alternating animation sequence that makes the face gaze in different directions (forward or to either side) when idle. I was going to comment these two. Technically, it isn't a bar. Prepare for the most intense mutant-laden, blood-splattered action ever! Hud is from Dark Resolution 2008 but my doomguy replacement is the best It's blue and it even has lamps! Your are the last defence against these hell-spawned hordes.
Female Skin. This is a great status bar to use. i find this best for concentrating on the game. My franken-edit of sorts. This is what I use. Managed Doom.

Can't see health, ammo or other vital info. Unreleased thing by my favorite status bar maker, me :^) The rendering engine and game system (player movement, weapons, monster AI and map gimmicks) are almost complete. Mugshot scripting may be used with the default Doom status bar.
