We had already been attacked twice before this. Officially, Curze appointed Zso Sahaal as his successor and Talonmaster, because Sahaal understood that a true warrior is more than just a murder machine. When the smoke cleared, the Lion went solo hunting again, walking into the trap Curze had set for him.

Hunt down the devil they made deals with and hopefully break the bond between them, reversing the template. The campaigns of the Night Lords became harder and harder to justify - terror campaigns leaving a trail of devastated worlds across the breadth of the galaxy.

I would maybe give it a trial run and see how it goes, the problem with these things is that sometimes it might not be a problem until later on. Last session we almost by accident found their treasure stash. Your spidy senses are right to be tingling, thats probably your gut instinct telling you theres something wrong with it. His weapons are 2 Lightning Claws called Mercy and Forgiveness which have AP 2, the Murderous Strike rule and grants +1 attack (Paired) and his armour, the Nightmare Mantle, provides 2+ armour save and 4+ invulnerable save (like most Primarch Armour), plus when he charges, it grants him hit and run and Hammer of Wrath special rules (inflicting d3 HoW hits instead of the usual one). Both Primarchs had visions of what could happen during the fight and were evenly matched due to their precognition (ie, this fight had more slow motion action visions than a Zhang Yimou film). Basically show them that their behavior has repercussions. So far I know they have angered a clan of brass dragons, and have sacked a temple of Torm. The Lion is considered to be the most brilliant tactician of the Primarchs for a reason. Striking behind enemy lines, ambushes, sabotaging generators and command centers, etc. However I felt like I needed to get help to overcome the VAST power gap we currently have. This isn't to say that their tactics make them unstoppable. Curze had been fomenting rebellion amongst the Illyrians, a part of Macragge that had never really accepted the civilisation of Konor and Guilliman. If you are unfamilar with it, he manipulates matter at the quantum level. Sanguinius believed it possible to avert and alter the path of his future, but accepted it instead upon realizing that doing so would entail becoming something even worse in the progress; Konrad actively rejected even the possibility of doing so, as he considered his fate to be set in stone, to the point he'd lived his whole life based on that notion. And in the end playing a mentally damaged character who can be unpredictable could be used to balance out that you have had a template added to your character. After being jettisoned into space, Curze's stasis coffin was picked up by a freighter. I plan on fixing the corruption once I have the strength too, but as of now I'd be killed and thrown in a ditch, I'd rather live long enough to actually make a difference.I'm currently playing in a campaign which at the moment is in a fairly corrupt town. On the other hand, the Night Lords' actual personalities and motivations are surprisingly deep, varied, and intact, more so than probably any other Traitor Legion (especially after 10,000 years).

1 person marked this as a favorite. Here the Night Lords test their true skill as hunters of the dark. I believe I can fly. Talos Valcoran/Cypher easily win 02:00 - Nighttime Terror Tactics.

Curze had foreseen everything, or had chosen a fate believing the future was set, just as Sanguinius had.

Fingers like snakes and spiders in my hair Maybe killing the devil would negate their gifts... Not sure I'm trying to think of more abstract solutions. Thanks for some good advice on the fight itself, but what I'm more looking for is some solutions to level the playing field before combat even begins.

So it comes down to is it better to be a Human or a native outsider?I agree with Avatar but slightly alter his advice.
