It is aimed at the tweens who are familiar with the idea of famous children, but don't really know much about how other children live their lives. There is a special section for the first Molly Moon movie – Molly Moon and the Incredible Book of Hypnotism, starting: Raffey Cassidy, Dominic Monaghan, Anne-Marie Duff, Emily Watson, Lesley Manville, Joan Collins, Celia Imrie, Ben Miller, and many more.
There is nothing objectionable in screenwriter Chris Hurford's adaptation of Byng's children's book and there is a good deal of merit to its spirited protagonist.

Molly Moon is a 11 year old orphan; she likes eating ketchup sandwiches and likes drinking orange squash concentrate (although when she goes to America she drinks shirley temples and grenadine). This neither-fish-nor-fowl project should end up pleasing no one.
