I most definately will be back and I am glad to find it!Pretty place to run but it is very small so unless you are looking for a quick workout you will be running lots of laps! August 2020. My recommendation is grabbing a slurpee from 7-eleven across Manchester and then coming over and just relaxing by one of the ponds.Nice little park at Ballas and Manchester. It's a large park and beautifully laid out. I didn't realize how big and pretty it was, despite having driven by many times. The park features paths (one mile, half mile, and quarter mile tracks),… The walking trails and the lake provide excellent outdoor activities for fitness and just enjoying the day. I had no idea that this little gem was tucked away, just across and down the street from West County Mall! The nets and surfaces are very well kept. It's nice to walk around or to sit back and just take in the surroundings. Paths and a pond for walking around and exploring; trees for climbing, this is a great park!This park is a West County gem, nestled in the heart of the county and easy accessible from all over.Des Peres Park is a nice little paradise nuzzled right in the heart of the county. River des Peres enters underground culverts from north of Forest Park, emerges south of the park into concrete channels, and debouches into the Mississippi. I grew up not far from here and this is the park my grandparents brought me to in order to feed the ducks and play on the playground. They are situated in 2 court pairs, which make it nice. According to the little map I looked over, there seems to be plenty of trail worth walking or running! Great walking path...This place provides sports fields, playgrounds, fishing, Green space, convenient parking, and awesome walking paths. They have a couple of great playgrounds as well for the kids.
