As a big fan of Steve Carell, I had high hopes, at least for his performance. DISCLAIMER: This review is under the label IMHO (In My Humble Opinion)! The pace is too fast, to the point where watching the beginning of the film is like seeing a montage of events that happened prior.

I caught this on Syfy, and I wish I could make them take it back. I made an account just to say how awful this movie is. When it comes to the jerky action, for most part it's done in awesome slow-motion to simply enhance the epic, if lumbering fight choreography. I rented this film thinking it was the Natalie Portman release, oh my gosh was I wrong. This is so unlike all other trap I've heard so I've been obsessed with it since my first listen. I was flabbergasted. Was this review helpful? Okay okay - so this isn't "The 10 commandments" and it isn't supposed to be the best movie you ever saw - but damn if it didn't touch me as well as make me laugh my ass off! After sending them a list with how we intended to test the product for the Nayo Almighty review, NayoSmart’s representatives surprised us both by sending this travel backpack in two sizes: Normal(25-liter, 46L x16W x32H) Large(32-liter, 51L x 17W x35H). Thanks to the Asylum and this piece of crap that list is growing. The run from Ape Shit to Blew My High is quickly becoming one of my all-time favorites. Unlike just about everyone else who went to this movie I had nothing to compare it with and no expectations based on the earlier movie. He sounds like a surfer and spends most of the movie looking like he needs a diaper change. Wanda Sykes and co. are merely stock characters needing better dialogue. Odin believe Thor isn't ready to fight and then Loki kill both Odin and Thor's older brother, which makes Thor vow vengeance. The days of family films seem to be relegated to direct-to-video ventures or produced through cable channel production companies that go straight to the Hallmark Channel or elsewhere. Nice has the most fascinating mixing I've ever heard; the brilliantly timed brief entry into Autotune, the strange and drastic changes in volume, yet it's all for a really beautiful beat holding it together in the background. But even when danger is around (dogs of hell and the CGI) or there's a chance to finish things off, people decide to stand around explaining things that just don't need explaining. That was just plain silly. 2 all around. I was watching a film review show on TV and as one of the critics was listing the reasons he hated it, one of the reasons was that it had a Christian message or something to that effect. It was definitely more powerful than any scene from Bruce Almighty. Acts of Random Kindness. In this film God points out the theme with A.R.K. Whoever made this movie should be quite embarrassed. Thor even had some "magical" earth jacket that would hide the hammer when he put it in his inside pocket...sometimes it went in handle first some times hammer end first...(Didn't Dungeons and Dragon's have some endless pocket or something like that?) I can forgive a lot in movie-making; a film may have severe flaws but if it is brought with enthusiasm and some creativity it can still win me over. Was this review helpful? While watch round after round as Thor gets beaten up by Locki. The bad ratings seem to be from atheists and anti-Christians. I also thought the idea of having the sequel being centered around the Noah story was a strong idea. Was this review helpful? Was this review helpful? Was this review helpful? Well, I liked it! Evan's transformation of appearance and being pursued by eager animals are the main areas of humour here, which means at times the film is thin on the ground. The guy that plays Loki should get a damn razzy for his crapness. Although I enjoy Steve Carrell's work, Evan the Almighty, like so many other overdone films turned out to be a lot worse than I hoped it would be. Suffice it to say that this movie makes SyFy's previous Thor flick, starring Zachery Ty Brian, look like the real deal. As this limited made-for-TV Scy-fy feature (from The Global Asylum productions) was a lousy superhero knock-off with little in way of entertainment and even unintentional laughs in this role-playing venture. The writing was so poor I was putting words in the actors mouths and there were dozens of moments when a simple one-liner would have given the moment a bit of humour or irony. Was this review helpful? This is not a pure comedy and has its own emotional scenes to counter your comic feelings while watching the movie..... Buy your popcorn and drink before you go to the movie and don't expect to have a pain in your gut because you don't do any big laughing exercise in it. 4 out of 5 found this helpful. 4 out of 4 found this helpful. 2 out of 2 found this helpful. The female lead showed no real athleticism and the fight scenes were poorly choreographed. Disabling it will result in some disabled or missing features. Was this review helpful? Special effects look like special defects, acting is so bad (except for Loki-nothing outstanding, but he looks like a genius compared to the others), it's to cry for, the plot is so simplistic it's almost scary, the dialogs are way beyond cliché, and most of the movie looks like it was filmed in a back lot. All in all, a very disappointing movie that had great possibilities. While the film is visually stunning, an overinflated budget cannot always save a film from a poor script, poor acting, and poor direction. I wonder if the critics even know what a family film is supposed to be?
