I got the Fulla 3's line out hooked up to the Heresy and honestly, I can't tell it apart from the Modi.Switching from the PC to an external DAC is a very clear improvement, but remember to set the DAC to 24-bit 192khz in the audio device settings.Fulla 3s dac section is basically a Modi, I would be impressed if someone could tell them apart consistently assuming you have the Fulla outputting at line level. But I noticed that there’s a new Hel DAC/amp that really tickles my fancy - I plan to do some voice work for YouTube videos and having a higher quality mic input would be nice, but mostly I just use my PC for listening to music, editing videos and playing mostly single player games - I don’t need a mic often at all is my point, only occasionally, but when I do, nice clean audio would be a real bonus.And in that note, if I wanted to use the stack in a media room, using the Modi from a PC, would I need the SYS in order to add say, a blu-ray player as an audio input into the Magni?Why not just get the Loki and a decent mic preamp? If you listen very closely to a magni 3+/heresy with a modi versus a fulla you might notice that the stack is a bit better (mostly due to the Magni not the Modi) but it will not be a major difference.The Tempotec Sonata HD Pro is $39 on Amazon and measures extremely accurate. The HD598 and its siblings are very vulnerable to high output impedance which motherboards almost universally have (typically ranges from 90ohms on a good one to over 300 on the real bad ones!)
