If your kids are fans of Diary of a Wimpy Kid type stories, this will be right up their alley. Our main character in this book is Max Crumbly himself and his sidekick Erin Madison. It’s good if you like Diary of a Wimpy Kid. My son loved this book. I like the story because the author Rachel Renee Russell gives a lot of character traits for Max. Will Max be shredded to bits like mozzarella cheese on the hard and crunchy pizza crust of doom? If only Max could be like the hero in his favorite comics. Seeing that I read these for a light, easy read when I've got nothing else, it wasn't bad! Its a really funny and interesting story so i recommend this book to other people too. it is very interesting, it has realistic events and has cracked me up throughout the whole book. I didn't notice this in the first book. Anyways, our 8th grade hero, (Seventh or eighth I dont remember) , max crumbly, is in a pretty bad situation. . They team up to track the burglars, and create booby traps to stop the burglars from catching him. I found the book a tad annoying, as it was all over the place! But his sidekick on speed dial helps him along the way. So, go ahead and try it.I gave this four stars because I got a kick out of it, liked Max and Erin, and think many kids would enjoy it. While he was crawling through the vents, he fell through and landed on top of a humongous pizza, but was surrounded by three scary criminals. Luckily Max has a best friend called Erin who is a computer genius can work from home to hack in to the schools system. Then they lower moose into the kitchen and rap him in plastic food rap. During his time trying to get out of his locker, he has to face three burglars in his school that have his dad's comic book. I spend a lot of time going back and reading books that I’ve finished already along time ago, and this one was pretty good! During his time trying to get out of his locker, he has to face three burglars in his school that have his dad's comic book. And again it ends on a cliff hanger.I think the girl is very annoying, but this book is good both the best from this author, but enjoyable.Overall an ok book. We got to see more of the original characters, which I liked, but no new ones were drawn in. But its fun to see how much I’ve progressed in reading, and maybe just for fun.
