Its sooooo good! I can understand the author's desire to make her book socially relevant by focusing on any of society's current hot button topics, but readers need to experience the ways that her characters change and grow due to the impact of those issues.

Renting an apartment from the Richardson family, Mia and Pearl become intertwined, albeit reluctantly from Mia's perspective, into their lives. PS i am not usually this critical and each to their own but with all the publicity and attention this title was given I think we deserve a lot better!

Little Fires Everywhere is a straight-up thriller...From the beginning, Ng's confident use of the omniscient voice signals that this is a writer in total control...While the plot whisks you breathlessly along, it lays out the bones of a debate about race and parenthood, Sunday Times, Pick … This isn’t Desperate housewives or Stepford Wives and in the book there’s depth to Elena, even when she is smug & annoying, but thats missing in the show. It is a great adaptation and looking forward to viewing the rest, though will try and save them if I can! Inspired by Lexie, Pearl explores her budding sexuality and sets her sights on Trip.
